 Necessary Documents: It is essential to carry at least one government issued identity card and couple of photocopies of it. Also suggest you to carry a couple of passport size photographs for permit purposes.

Miscellaneous:
 Personal medication/regular medicines – Carry general medicines for headache, fever, stomach ache, coldand cough syrup.
 Sunscreen lotion – UV rays at high altitude can be quite damaging to the skin, hence it is recommended to carry a good quality sunscreen lotion, moisturizer, lip balm and apply it properly before going out in the sun.
 Food – Carrying few chocolates, pack of biscuits and few dry fruits such as almonds, raisins and cashews is agood idea, as these provide instant energy and act as easy snack during travel time.

Dos and Don’ts.
 It is required to take permission before clicking photographs of any person or monument. Photography isrestricted in some of the monuments and monasteries.
 Don’t use plastic bags for carrying stuff as plastic is officially banned.
 While visit to Monastery, women are requested to cover their body and men in their full pants.
 Avoid leather items and digital cameras inside the monastery.
 Beware of the highly sensitive ecology of the region and make sure not to disturb wildlife during the trek.
