After breakfast, proceed to tour Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambhunath Stupa Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, with its old temples and palaces, epitomizes the religious and cultural life of the people. Here, the kings of Nepal are crowned and solemnized. Interesting things for visitors to see are Taleju temple, gigantic figure of Kalbhairav (the god of destruction), Basantapur Durbar, and Temple of Kumari (living goddess) After Durbar Square visit Swayambhunath or also known as the ‘Monkey Temple’, the world’s most glorious Buddhist Stupa of over 2,000 years standing on a hillock at a majestic height of 77m. This site also commands an excellent view of the Kathmandu Valley. Lunch –en-route, Thereafter, drive to Nagarkot located 30 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,175m. This place used to be the nature retreat of the royals in days past. Nagarkot thrills visitors with its unobstructed mountain panorama which extends from Annapurna in the west to Everest in the east. Bask in the pleasant climate. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel Country Villa 17th Aug’12: Nagarkot - Kathmandu Early morning rise to enjoy the sunrise and lose yourself in the lush greenery. After breakfast, drive to Kathmandu. Check in at Hotel. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel Grand
